Mile a Life 2026

23/5/2026 12:00am — 23/6/2026 12:00am

In the Summer of 2020, a light went out. The world tragically lost a wonderful man, Charlie Dallas Lancaster. Charlie was a beloved friend, partner, brother, uncle, son and father who brought joy to everyone with his warm smile. At just 36 he left a remarkable legacy with his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to help others. His passion for business especially in property defined his career.
Charlie was equally committed to charity. As a board member of The York Round Table he was focused on mental health causes, inspired by his own experience.
This year Charlieboy would have been 42.

Every year on May 23rd we aim to cover in miles the amount of lives lost to suicide the previous year. Whether iys a run, walk, swim, cycle etc.

We run this event until the 23rd June which is Charlies birthday. We finish the last miles on his birthday walking from York Minster to Bishopthorpe crematorium where we take a moment to remember Charlieand all the people that have sadly lost there lives to suicide. Anyone is welcome to join us.
